1. Our Services Are Not Medical Treatment

The massage and wellness services offered at Ragini Spa – including Indian massage, Kerala Ayurvedic massage, Thai massage, Russian massage, Pakistani massage, oil and cream massage, and signature massage – are provided for the purposes of relaxation, stress relief, and general physical well-being.

None of the services offered at Ragini Spa constitute medical treatment, physiotherapy, clinical therapy, or any form of licensed healthcare. Our therapists are trained in massage techniques and wellness practices. They are not licensed doctors, physiotherapists, chiropractors, or healthcare professionals.

The use of our services does not establish a doctor-patient relationship of any kind.

3. Conditions That Require Medical Clearance Before Booking

You must consult your doctor and obtain written or verbal medical clearance before visiting Ragini Spa if you have any of the following:

 

  • Cancer (active or in remission), particularly if you have undergone or are undergoing chemotherapy or radiation therapy
  • Cardiovascular conditions including heart disease, high blood pressure (hypertension), history of stroke, or blood clots (deep vein thrombosis)
  • Diabetes, particularly where skin sensitivity or circulation may be affected
  • Pregnancy – especially during the first trimester; some massage types are not recommended during pregnancy at all
  • Recent surgery, open wounds, fractures, sprains, or post-operative recovery
  • Osteoporosis, arthritis, or bone density conditions that may be aggravated by physical pressure
  • Skin conditions including eczema, psoriasis, fungal infections, open sores, rashes, or contagious skin disorders
  • Neurological conditions including epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, or nerve damage
  • Fever, infection, or acute inflammation anywhere in the body
  • Blood disorders or if you are on blood-thinning medication (anticoagulants)
  • Mental health conditions where physical touch or confined spaces may cause distress
  • Any condition for which your treating physician has advised against physical manipulation

4. Your Responsibility to Disclose

Before every session at Ragini Spa, our therapists conduct a brief pre-session intake. You are required to disclose any health conditions, injuries, allergies, or medications that may affect your treatment.

Failure to disclose relevant health information may result in your session being modified or, in some cases, declined by our therapists. This is done solely to protect your safety.

Ragini Spa accepts no liability for adverse effects arising from information that was not disclosed prior to your session.

5. Allergies and Skin Sensitivities

Our massage sessions use a variety of oils, creams, herbal preparations, and aromatic products. If you have a known allergy to any oil, fragrance, nut-based product, or topical ingredient, you must inform your therapist before your session begins.

6. Age Restrictions

Massage services at Ragini Spa are available exclusively to adult clients aged 18 years and above. Clients under the age of 18 will not be admitted for any massage service without documented parental consent and, where applicable, a letter from a licensed medical professional approving the treatment.

7. Limitation of Liability

Ragini Spa, its owners, management, and therapists shall not be held liable for:

 

  • Any injury, discomfort, or adverse reaction arising from a massage session where the client did not disclose a relevant health condition
  • Any aggravation of a pre-existing medical condition during or following a session
  • Any reliance placed on the general wellness information published on this website
  • Any outcome resulting from failure to seek appropriate medical advice before visiting

 

By booking and attending a session at Ragini Spa, you confirm that you have read and understood this disclaimer, that you are physically and medically fit to receive massage therapy, and that you take full responsibility for disclosing any conditions that may affect your treatment.

8. Hygiene and Safety Standards

The safety of every client is our first priority. Ragini Spa maintains strict hygiene protocols at all our locations. Treatment rooms are sanitised between sessions, fresh linen is provided for every client, and single-use items are used where applicable.

 

If you are unwell, experiencing fever, or have a contagious skin or respiratory condition on the day of your appointment, we respectfully ask that you reschedule your visit. This protects both you and other guests.

9. Emergency Situations

If a client experiences a medical emergency during a session, Ragini Spa staff are trained to stop treatment immediately and contact UAE emergency services (999). We do not provide emergency medical care on-site.
